Frequently Asked Questions
A full, clean UK driving licence is required. A racing licence is not necessary for track day hire, though previous circuit experience is recommended. Professional instruction is available for those new to circuit driving.
Specialist track day insurance is included in the hire price. Excess is higher than road use, varying by vehicle category. Full terms are shared before you confirm your arrangement.
A security deposit is pre-authorised on your credit card before collection. The amount varies by vehicle and reflects the increased demands of circuit use. It is released promptly after post-session inspection.
Helmets are not included. You will need a helmet meeting Snell SA or FIA 8859 standards, which most UK circuits require. Helmets can often be hired directly from the circuit on the day.
Guests are welcome in the pit lane and paddock area. Some circuits permit a passenger ride-along during certain sessions, subject to circuit regulations and available harness points.
Track days proceed in wet conditions unless the circuit operator cancels the event. Wet driving is a valuable skill to develop. If the event is cancelled by the organiser, we work with you to rearrange.
There are no fixed mileage caps for circuit use. Session limits follow the circuit timetable. We prepare the vehicle for the full day, including brake and tyre checks between sessions.
Track driving accelerates tyre wear. We inspect tyres before and after each session. If replacement is needed during the day, we coordinate it. Excessive wear beyond normal use may incur a charge.
