LuxuryCarHire.Club offers prom car hire in Wells, Somerset. Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488, Rolls-Royce Ghost, and stretch limousines for The Blue School, Wells Cathedral School, and Somerset sixth-form proms. DBS-checked chauffeurs. From £350.
Our Wells prom fleet includes the Lamborghini Huracan Evo (from £450 for 2 hours), Ferrari 488 Spider (from £475 for 2 hours), Rolls-Royce Ghost (from £500 for 2 hours), Mercedes-Benz S-Class (from £350 for 2 hours), Chrysler 300 stretch limousine (from £400 for 3 hours, seats 8), and Range Rover Sport SVR (from £400 for 2 hours). Every vehicle arrives with a DBS-checked, formally attired chauffeur.
The Lamborghini Huracan Evo in Verde Mantis is our most requested prom car in Wells — the scissor doors opening outside The Blue School or Wells Cathedral School create the entrance every student wants. Chauffeur-driven only for prom bookings; we handle the driving so students enjoy the moment.
For students who prefer something with a deeper presence, the Bentley Continental GT (from £475 for 2 hours) offers a handcrafted interior finished in quilted leather with knurled metal controls. The Aston Martin DB11 (from £450 for 2 hours) is another option — its proportions and understated badge suit students who want distinction without the volume of a Lamborghini. The McLaren 720S (from £500 for 2 hours) provides dihedral doors that open upward and outward, creating a different silhouette to the Huracan and drawing its own share of attention outside any Wells venue.
We also carry the Porsche 911 Turbo S (from £425 for 2 hours) and the BMW M8 Competition (from £375 for 2 hours) for those who lean toward a more restrained aesthetic. Both are chauffeur-driven for prom bookings and arrive detailed to showroom standard. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S (from £425 for 2 hours) rounds out the performance saloon options, seating four comfortably with rear-door access that the standard two-door supercars cannot offer.
“"Our daughter's face when the Lamborghini arrived on Kennion Road — priceless. The chauffeur was impeccable, DBS certificate shared in advance, and she was home by the agreed time. Everything as promised."”
, — Helen M., Wells, Blue School Prom
We serve The Blue School (Kennion Road), Wells Cathedral School (The Liberty), and Strode College in Street (6 miles). Our chauffeurs know drop-off points, parking restrictions, and the best approach for maximum impact at each venue. Cathedral School proms use the medieval surroundings to dramatic effect. Beyond the main schools, we regularly collect students attending Writhlington School in Radstock (9 miles via the A367), Crispin School in Street (6 miles via the A39), and Millfield School in Street (7 miles). Each venue has its own access arrangements — Millfield's Edgarley Hall entrance, for instance, has a long gravel drive that suits a slower, more composed arrival in a Rolls-Royce or Bentley. Our chauffeurs have driven these routes across multiple prom seasons and understand the parking marshalling, one-way systems, and photography positions at each location.

Every prom booking includes a chauffeur with a current Enhanced DBS certificate. We share verification details with parents before the event. Your child travels with a vetted, professional driver who has completed safeguarding training. Our chauffeurs carry their DBS documentation in the vehicle on the night. Parents are welcome to inspect the certificate at the point of collection. Each chauffeur has also completed a first-aid awareness course and carries a contact card with the company's direct operations line should any question arise during the evening. We do not use agency drivers for prom bookings — every chauffeur is known to us personally and has worked a minimum of one full prom season before being assigned to solo student bookings.

We provide a direct contact number for parents on the night. Real-time updates on collection and return. We agree pickup and drop-off times in advance and adhere strictly to the schedule. No detours, no unplanned stops. Parents receive a confirmation message when the chauffeur departs for collection, a second message upon arrival at the student's address, and a final message once the student has been returned home safely. For group bookings collecting from multiple addresses, we send updates at each stop. The operations team monitors every active prom booking from our control room and can be reached by phone or WhatsApp throughout the evening.
The car arrives at your chosen address. Collected when you're finished. No queues, no counter.
Comprehensive cover in every arrangement. Nothing additional to purchase. Confirmed in writing before delivery.
Enquire and manage your arrangement entirely via WhatsApp. No hold music. Response within the hour.
Nothing more required.

Lamborghini Huracan or Ferrari 488 — chauffeur-driven, 2-hour hire. Collection from your Wells address, scenic drive through Market Place, arrival at the prom venue. The scissor doors and engine note guarantee the entrance. The 2-hour window covers collection from any Wells address, the scenic route through the city centre, arrival at the venue with time for photographs beside the car, and return home at the end of the evening. For venues beyond 15 miles from Wells — Castle Cary, Ilminster, or Lympsham, for example — we extend to a 3-hour hire (Lamborghini from £575, Ferrari from £600) to ensure there is no rush on the return journey. The chauffeur remains with the vehicle throughout and is available for additional photograph opportunities at the venue.
Group Stretch Limo
Chrysler 300 stretch seats 8 students — 3-hour hire from £400. Collect from multiple Wells addresses, arrive together. Music system, ambient lighting, and enough space for suits, dresses, and excitement. The stretch limousine collects from up to four separate Wells addresses. We plan the route in advance with parents so that collection times are confirmed and each household knows precisely when to expect the vehicle. The interior features a Bluetooth-connected sound system, colour-changing LED lighting, and a chilled compartment for soft drinks. For groups of more than eight, we can arrange a second vehicle — a Mercedes V-Class (seats 7, from £350 for 3 hours) running in convoy with the stretch limousine, so the full group arrives together at the venue entrance.
Prestige Duo
Two students sharing a Rolls-Royce Ghost or Mercedes S-Class. The more refined option — formal chauffeur, rear-door opening service, and a quieter arrival that still commands attention. The Rolls-Royce Ghost's starlight headliner and rear coach doors (on the extended wheelbase variant, from £550 for 2 hours) create a particularly composed entrance. The chauffeur opens the nearside rear door at the venue, and the illuminated treadplate bearing the Spirit of Ecstasy catches the light as students step out. For those who prefer the Mercedes-Benz, the S-Class offers rear-seat massage, ambient lighting in 64 colours, and a near-silent cabin that contrasts with the excitement of the evening ahead. Both vehicles seat two students in the rear with space for personal belongings, corsages, and any accessories the evening requires.

“"Our daughter's face when the Lamborghini arrived on Kennion Road — priceless. The chauffeur was impeccable, DBS certificate shared in advance, and she was home by the agreed time. Everything as promised."”
“"Eight of them in the stretch limo through Wells Market Place with the Cathedral behind. The photos are incredible and the kids had the time of their lives."”
“"We chose the Rolls-Royce Ghost for our son and his friend. The chauffeur drove them past the Bishop's Palace and through Cathedral Green before heading to the venue in Glastonbury. Understated, elegant, and exactly what the boys wanted. The parent updates throughout the evening gave us complete peace of mind."”
The Blue School, Kennion Road
Wells's comprehensive secondary school. Proms typically held at the school or at venues in Glastonbury or Shepton Mallet. We collect from home addresses across Wells and deliver to the venue with a scenic route through the Market Place if timing allows.
When The Blue School holds its prom at Glastonbury Town Hall on Magdalene Street, we take the A39 west from Wells — a 7-mile, 12-minute drive through open countryside on the edge of the Somerset Levels. For proms at The Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster (25 miles south via the A37 and A303), we allow additional travel time and adjust pricing accordingly. The school's own grounds on Kennion Road have hosted proms in recent years with marquee arrangements on the playing fields, which allows for a red-carpet arrival directly at the school gates — a straightforward collection and return within Wells itself.
Wells Cathedral School, The Liberty
An independent school in the Cathedral precinct. Proms often held within the school's medieval grounds or at the Bishop's Palace. The setting is naturally dramatic — a supercar in The Liberty courtyard is framed by 800 years of architecture.
The Bishop's Palace on Henderson Close, with its moat and drawbridge, has hosted Cathedral School events where the arrival drive crosses the moat into the inner grounds. For proms held in the Cedars Hall concert venue on the school campus, the approach is via Cathedral Green, past the west front, and into the school precinct. Both locations benefit from restricted traffic in the evening, meaning the vehicle has the street largely to itself. The ancient cobbles and archways of Vicars' Close — the oldest purely residential street in Europe — provide a secondary photograph location within walking distance of any Cathedral School venue.
Strode College, Street (6 miles south)
Sixth-form college on Church Road, Street. We collect Wells-based students and deliver to Strode events. The A39 from Wells to Street is a straight 12-minute drive across the Levels.
Strode College proms are often held at the Wessex Hotel in Street or at Clarks Village conference facilities nearby. The A39 route passes through Glastonbury, and some students request a brief pause on Glastonbury High Street for photographs with the Tor visible in the background — we accommodate this within the standard hire period where timing permits. For students living in the southern Wells parishes of Coxley or Polsham, collection is on the direct route to Street, reducing overall journey time.
Popular prom venues: Glastonbury Town Hall (Magdalene Street, 7 miles), The Crossways at North Wootton (3 miles), The Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster (25 miles), The Bishop's Palace (Henderson Close, Wells), Cedars Hall at Wells Cathedral School, Wessex Hotel in Street (6 miles), Batch Country House at Lympsham (18 miles via the A38), and The Castle at Castle Cary (14 miles via the A371). All are venues we have delivered to across multiple prom seasons.
