The Jaguar E-Type in Opalescent Silver Blue is our most requested Worcester vintage car. Jaguar's factory in Coventry sits just 50 miles east, and the E-Type feels native to these West Midlands roads in a way that few other classic cars can match. The car looks particularly striking parked on College Green with Worcester Cathedral's 14th-century tower rising behind it, or threading through the narrow streets near The Commandery. The long bonnet, the wire wheels, and the exhaust note reverberating off medieval stonework create something genuinely atmospheric.
For weddings at Worcester Cathedral or the Guildhall, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III in Shell Grey over Tudor Grey remains the definitive choice. The formal rear compartment, the Spirit of Ecstasy above the radiator grille, and the measured arrival along Deansway — a car built for occasions of significance, arriving at a building that has hosted them for over nine centuries. Chauffeur-driven as standard for all wedding bookings; self-drive available on selected models for touring hire.
“"The E-Type on College Green with the cathedral behind — the photographs are extraordinary. The chauffeur positioned us precisely and the light in the late afternoon was faultless. Worcester at its finest."”
, — Jonathan and Rebecca H., Worcester Cathedral Wedding
Worcester Cathedral, founded in 680 AD and rebuilt from the 11th century, dominates the city's eastern skyline from the banks of the River Severn. College Green, the approach along Deansway, and the cloisters provide a backdrop that belongs to the same era of craftsmanship as a Silver Cloud or Bentley S-Series. The cathedral's Norman crypt, King John's tomb, and the medieval chapter house draw visitors from across the country — and a vintage car arriving on College Green belongs to this setting in a way that no modern vehicle can. We coordinate with the cathedral office for wedding-day access and photography positions.

Worcester sits at the centre of one of England's most scenic counties. The Malvern Hills rise eight miles to the west, visible from the cathedral tower. The Vale of Evesham stretches to the east, with its orchards, market gardens, and the medieval town of Pershore. The Severn Valley runs south towards Upton upon Severn and Tewkesbury. Every direction from Worcester offers touring roads that suit vintage cars perfectly — unhurried, well-surfaced, and lined with hedgerows, half-timbered houses, and views that have barely changed since the cars were built.

The Commandery, a medieval building on Sidbury dating to 1085, served as the Royalist headquarters during the Battle of Worcester in 1651. The Guildhall on High Street, completed in 1723, is one of the finest Georgian buildings in the West Midlands. Both provide architectural backdrops for vintage car photography that are historically rich and visually distinctive. The Guildhall's ornate facade, with its carved figures and elaborate pediment, frames a Bentley S3 Continental with the formality the car deserves.

Ceremonies and blessings at the cathedral, with the wedding breakfast at venues including Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, The Elms Hotel and Spa in Abberley, or Diglis House Hotel on the Severn. A Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III arriving on College Green, with the cathedral's west front as backdrop, sets the tone for the day. Our chauffeurs coordinate timing with the cathedral vergers and know the precise parking positions on College Green that align with the photographer's preferred angles.
Three Choirs Festival
One of the oldest music festivals in Europe, rotating between Worcester, Hereford, and Gloucester cathedrals. When Worcester hosts — every three years — the city fills with performers and audiences for a week of choral and orchestral music. A vintage car arriving at the cathedral for an evening performance adds a layer of occasion that suits the festival's character. We provide chauffeur service for the festival week.
Malvern Hills Touring
Half-day and full-day vintage tours through the Malvern Hills, the Vale of Evesham, and the Wye Valley. An Austin-Healey 3000 with the hood down, climbing the A449 towards British Camp — the Iron Age hill fort on Herefordshire Beacon — is a driving experience that combines engineering, landscape, and history in a way that modern cars simply cannot.
Corporate Events and Photography
The Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum, the Guildhall, and The Commandery provide distinctive venues for corporate events. A fleet of vintage cars parked on the Guildhall forecourt or Sidbury creates imagery that reinforces heritage, craftsmanship, and attention to detail — qualities that Worcestershire's manufacturing history embodies.

A44 to Great Malvern via the Malvern Hills (9 miles, 20 min)
West from Worcester on the A44, climbing towards the ridge of the Malvern Hills — a range that rises abruptly from the Worcestershire plain to over 1,300 feet. The road passes through the spa town of Great Malvern, with its Priory Church and Victorian hydro hotels clinging to the hillside. An open-top Jaguar E-Type on this road in summer, with the Worcestershire plain unfolding behind you to the east, is one of the finest vintage driving experiences in the West Midlands. The hills themselves were the inspiration for Elgar's music — the landscape is that kind of scale.
A449 South to Ross-on-Wye and the Wye Valley (30 miles, 45 min)
South from Worcester through Malvern, crossing into Herefordshire and descending into the Wye Valley. Ross-on-Wye sits above the river with views across to the Forest of Dean. The A449 is well-surfaced, gently winding, and passes through villages that are largely unchanged since the 1960s. An Aston Martin DB5 on this road feels period-correct in every detail — the stone bridges, the half-timbered inns, the river glimpsed through breaks in the woodland. Continue south to Monmouth for a full-day circular tour of approximately 80 miles.
B4084 through the Vale of Evesham (15 miles, 30 min)
East from Worcester through Pershore to Evesham along the B4084 — through the heart of England's fruit-growing belt. In spring, the road is lined with blossom orchards. In summer, the roadside stalls sell plums, cherries, and asparagus. The medieval towns of Pershore and Evesham provide natural stops, with their abbey ruins, riverside walks, and coaching inns. A Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud on these roads at blossom time, with the Cotswold escarpment rising in the distance, is Worcestershire at its most pastoral.
A38 through the Severn Valley (20 miles, 35 min)
South from Worcester along the A38, following the Severn through Kempsey and Upton upon Severn to Tewkesbury. Upton upon Severn, with its 18th-century copper-domed church tower and riverside pubs, is a natural midpoint for a half-day tour. The Severn is England's longest river, and the valley it carved through Worcestershire provides a landscape of water meadows, willow-lined banks, and gentle gradients that vintage cars handle with quiet authority.
Airport: Birmingham Airport (BHX) — 35 miles east, 45 minutes via the M5 and M42. Classic car airport collection available.
