LuxuryCarHire.Club offers vintage and classic car hire in Wrexham, North Wales. Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud, Bentley S-Series, Jaguar E-Type, and Aston Martin DB5 delivered to Wrexham town centre, Erddig Hall, Llyndir Hall, and throughout Wrexham County Borough. Chauffeur-driven or self-drive from £695/day.
Our Wrexham vintage collection includes the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III (from £895/day), Bentley S3 Continental (from £850/day), Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster (from £795/day), Aston Martin DB5 (from £1,200/day), Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III (from £695/day), and Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda (from £750/day). Each car is maintained to concours standard with full RAC breakdown cover and comprehensive insurance.
The Jaguar E-Type in British Racing Green is our most requested vintage car for Wrexham bookings. The Dee Valley roads south-west of the city — particularly the A539 to Llangollen and the climb over the Horseshoe Pass — were built for this car. Long sweeping bends through open moorland, the six-cylinder engine working through a landscape of slate walls and sheep pasture, arriving at Llangollen with the Dee running through the town below. It is one of North Wales' finest driving roads, and the E-Type belongs on it.
For weddings at Erddig Hall or the churches around Wrexham, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III remains the definitive choice. The formal rear compartment, the Spirit of Ecstasy above the radiator grille, and the unhurried presence of a car that suits the Georgian architecture of Erddig and the medieval stonework of St Giles' Church equally well. Chauffeur-driven as standard for all wedding bookings; self-drive available on selected models for touring hire.
“"The E-Type over the Horseshoe Pass on a September morning — roof down, mist in the valley, the road completely empty. One of the best driving days of my life. The car was immaculate and the route briefing was spot on."”
, — James H., Chester, Touring Hire
Wrexham sits at the gateway to some of the finest driving roads in Wales. The A539 west to Llangollen (10 miles) drops into the Dee Valley through wooded hillsides before the road opens onto the Horseshoe Pass — a sustained climb through hairpins and open moorland that is regularly cited as one of the best driving roads in Britain. In a vintage Jaguar E-Type or Austin-Healey with the roof down, the Horseshoe Pass is the reason these cars were built. Beyond the Pass, the A5 continues through the Dee Valley towards Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia, providing a full day of open-road touring from a Wrexham base.

Wrexham County Borough contains an exceptional concentration of heritage wedding venues. Erddig Hall, the National Trust property two miles south of the town centre, hosts weddings in its 18th-century state rooms and formal gardens. Chirk Castle, eight miles south, offers medieval walls and Capability Brown parkland. Trevor Hall near Llangollen provides intimate country-house ceremonies with views across the Dee Valley. Each venue suits vintage vehicles — the gravel drives, the stone facades, and the rolling landscapes create photography that modern cars cannot match.

Wrexham gained city status in 2022, and the town centre around St Giles' Church, Regent Street, and the Guildhall provides an urban backdrop with genuine character. St Giles' Church — one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, with its 135-foot Gothic tower — is the most photographed wedding venue in north-east Wales. A Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud arriving on Church Street, with the tower rising behind, creates an image that defines a Wrexham wedding. Our chauffeurs know the one-way system around the town centre, the restricted access on High Street, and the drop-off positions that align with St Giles' main entrance.

Erddig Hall hosts weddings in its restored 18th-century rooms and the formal gardens beyond. A Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud arriving on the gravel approach, with the symmetrical brick facade of the house behind, produces wedding photography of genuine distinction. Our chauffeurs coordinate arrival timing with the National Trust events team and position the car for the photographs that the venue's architecture demands. Erddig's walled garden and lime walk provide additional locations for portraits with the car.
St Giles' Church Ceremonies
The most prominent church in north-east Wales. Weddings at St Giles' draw the entire congregation's attention to the arrival on Church Street — a vintage Rolls-Royce or Bentley approaching beneath the Gothic tower creates the moment that defines the day. The churchyard gates, the medieval stonework, and the proportions of the tower provide a backdrop that is architecturally sympathetic to vehicles from the 1950s and 1960s in a way that modern glass-fronted buildings cannot achieve.
Touring Hire — Snowdonia and the North Wales Coast
Wrexham provides a practical base for multi-day vintage touring across North Wales. Day one: Horseshoe Pass and the Dee Valley. Day two: west through Snowdonia to Betws-y-Coed, Llanberis, and the Ogwen Valley. Day three: north to Conwy, Llandudno, and the Great Orme. Three days of Britain's finest roads and landscapes from a single base. Self-drive available on the Jaguar E-Type, Austin-Healey, and Mercedes Pagoda for touring bookings of two days or more.
Wrexham AFC Match Days
Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's ownership brought global attention to Wrexham AFC, match days at the Racecourse Ground have become occasions. A vintage car arrival at the ground — the Aston Martin DB5 on Mold Road, or a Bentley S3 on Crispin Lane — suits the mix of heritage football and contemporary celebrity that defines Wrexham's current moment. Matchday bookings require advance coordination for road closures around the ground.

Horseshoe Pass via Llangollen (25 miles, 50 min)
West on the A539 through Trevor and over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct approach to Llangollen, then north on the A542 climbing the Horseshoe Pass to 1,367 feet. The road traverses open moorland with views across the Vale of Clwyd to the Irish Sea on clear days. The descent into Ruthin completes a circuit back to Wrexham via the A525 (15 miles). An open-top Austin-Healey 3000 on the Horseshoe Pass, with the Clwydian Range stretching north, is one of the great vintage driving experiences in Wales.
Dee Valley and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (12 miles, 25 min)
South-west on the A483 to Ruabon, then the B5605 through Cefn Mawr to Trevor and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct — Thomas Telford's UNESCO World Heritage canal crossing, 126 feet above the River Dee. The surrounding landscape of wooded valleys and industrial heritage provides an atmospheric backdrop. A vintage Bentley on the road above the aqueduct, with the Dee Valley spread below, captures the meeting of engineering achievement and natural beauty that defines this part of Wales.
A525 to Ruthin (15 miles, 25 min)
North-west through Coedpoeth and Minera across increasingly open country to Ruthin, a medieval market town in the Vale of Clwyd. Ruthin Castle, now a hotel, provides a dramatic halfway point. The road is well-surfaced, lightly trafficked, and follows the contours of the land in a way that rewards unhurried driving. The Aston Martin DB5 on this road, with the Clwydian Range ahead, suits the pace of the landscape.
A483 South to Oswestry (18 miles, 25 min)
South through the Welsh-English border country to Oswestry in Shropshire. The road passes through Chirk, where the medieval castle and its 18th-century gates are visible from the road, and crosses into England at the Ceiriog Valley. A Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud on the approach to Chirk Castle, with the Black Mountains of mid-Wales visible to the south-west on clear days, demonstrates the range of landscape accessible from Wrexham within thirty minutes.
Airports: Liverpool John Lennon (LPL) — 40 miles, 50 minutes. Manchester (MAN) — 55 miles, 60 minutes. Classic car airport collection available at both.
