Oulton Park Circuit — 35 miles east

Oulton Park near Tarporley in Cheshire — 35 miles east of St Asaph via the A55 and A49 — is one of the UK's most technically demanding and beloved permanent circuits. The 2.69-mile International layout features Cascades (a high-speed right-hander with elevation change), Old Hall hairpin, and the sweeping Knickerbrook complex. Home to BTCC, British Superbikes, and GT championship rounds. Private hire and arrive-and-drive sessions are available, with full pit lane, briefing rooms, and Oulton Park staff on site. Anglesey Circuit (Trac Môn) — 65 miles west

Anglesey Circuit — known as Trac Môn — on the Isle of Anglesey is 65 miles west of St Asaph via the A55 and Britannia Bridge. The 1.55-mile circuit sits on a spectacular coastal headland, combining a long back straight, technical infield sections, and the famous Circuit des Mines complex. The views across the Menai Strait are extraordinary. Anglesey hosts British GT, Porsche Carrera Cup, and Formula 4 rounds. Private hire available with full circuit facilities. Moel Famau ascent road

9 miles from St Asaph. 1.4 miles, 295ft elevation gain.

Set in the grounds of Grade I listed Bodelwyddan Castle, this is Britain's most prestigious hillclimb venue. The course climbs steeply through fast sweepers, tightening second-gear hairpins, and a technical crest before the finish. Surface quality is excellent throughout. Ideal for the Porsche GT3 RS and Lamborghini Performante — cars that reward mechanical grip on a shorter, highly technical layout where the driver makes the biggest difference.

Hawarden Airport

18 miles east of St Asaph. 1-mile straight, controlled environment.

A World War II airfield near York, Hawarden hosts land speed record attempts and supercar acceleration days on its mile-long concrete runway. For those who want to experience what 710 hp of McLaren or 640 hp of Lamborghini delivers in a straight line — safely, without traffic, without limits — there is no better venue in Denbighshire.
