Behind the detail: preparing a car before handover.

Before every handover, our preparation team spends hours ensuring each vehicle arrives in pristine condition. This is the process that protects the 'wow' moment when you first see your car.

Inspection begins 48 hours before collection

Every vehicle in our curated fleet undergoes multi-stage inspection before handover. This isn't a cursory check – it's forensic examination designed to catch issues before they affect your experience.

Mechanical verification: Engine diagnostics, fluid levels, brake performance, tyre condition (tread depth, pressures, sidewall integrity), suspension geometry, exhaust condition.

Safety systems: All warning lights must be inactive. Airbags, ABS, traction control, stability systems undergo functional verification. Any amber or red dashboard warnings trigger immediate investigation.

Functional testing: Every control, switch, and system is operated. Climate control in all zones, heated seats, navigation, audio systems, parking sensors, cameras, adaptive headlights – nothing is assumed functional without verification.

Paintwork: forensic detailing

Supercars deserve exceptional presentation. Our detailing process goes beyond standard washing:

Decontamination wash: pH-neutral snow foam pre-wash removes surface dirt without contact. Two-bucket hand wash with microfibre mitts prevents swirl marks. Clay bar treatment removes embedded contaminants.

Paint correction: Any minor imperfections (light swirls, water spots, minor scratches) are machine-polished using multi-stage compounds. This restores factory-fresh depth and clarity.

Protection: Ceramic coating boosters or high-grade wax create hydrophobic barriers that protect paintwork and simplify cleaning. Wheels receive dedicated coating for brake dust resistance.

The result: when you collect your Ferrari or Bentley, paintwork should be flawless under direct sunlight.

Interior: sanctuary standards

Cabin presentation receives equal attention to exterior:

Deep cleaning: Leather conditioning (using manufacturer-approved products), carpet steam extraction, dashboard and console detailing with anti-static treatments, glass cleaning (inside and out) with anti-glare solutions.

Scent management: Cabins are ventilated and receive subtle, non-intrusive fragrance treatment. Nothing overpowering – just fresh, clean ambience.

Touch-point sanitisation: Steering wheel, gear selector, door handles, touchscreen, all switches receive medical-grade sanitisation. Particularly important for vehicles used by multiple drivers.

Final briefing preparation

Our team prepares comprehensive handover notes for each collection:

  • Vehicle-specific quirks and features
  • Driving mode explanations
  • Navigation and entertainment system operation
  • Fuel type and refuelling procedures
  • Parking sensors and camera usage
  • Emergency contact procedures

For first-time supercar drivers, we extend the briefing to cover seating position, visibility considerations, and throttle sensitivity.

Collection day protocol

Morning verification: On collection day, vehicles receive final checks: fuel level (always delivered with full tank), tyre pressures, all fluids, dashboard warning lights, climate control pre-conditioning.

Photography: We document vehicle condition before handover with dated, timestamped photographs covering all angles, existing marks, panel alignments, interior condition, tyre tread, wheel condition.

Joint inspection: You and our team conduct joint vehicle inspection. We walk around the car together, pointing out any pre-existing marks (however minor), confirming they're documented, ensuring you're comfortable with condition.

Why this matters

Presentation isn't vanity – it's respect. For the car, for you, and for the experience itself.

When you're paying significant sums to hire a supercar in London or planning the perfect weekend drive, the vehicle should be exceptional in every dimension – not just performance, but presentation, cleanliness, and mechanical perfection.

Our preparation process ensures nothing distracts from the driving experience. No warning lights, no mysterious rattles, no fingerprints on touchscreens, no swirl marks catching sunlight. Just the car, the road, and you.

Return expectations

We ask the same standards in return. Vehicles should be returned:

  • Reasonably clean (we don't expect you to detail it, but excessive dirt incurs cleaning charges)
  • With appropriate fuel level (check rental agreement – some require full return, others charge for fuel)
  • Free from damage beyond normal wear
  • With all provided accessories (chargers, documentation, emergency kit)
